Moody Eggs

The owner of Moody Eggs approached us for help with their ecommerce website which they were building using a well known US proprietary ecommerce platform.  It very quickly became apparent that the project would fail because the wrong website platform had been chosen.  The CMS had no shipping plugins available for any Australian shipping provider and fixed price shipping was not an option because of the very wide range of product sizes.  This was a good example of what can happen if a needs analysis is not carried out before any work begins on a website

The site was designed to sell products that were customised by the buyer and some products had over 30 different variables that could be selected along with custom text.  After discussion with the client it was decided that we should rebuild the site in Joomla with a Hikashop shopping cart that would handle the product variations and customisations with ease, solve the shipping problems and provide an easier platform to manage.
